When I went on vacation a few weeks ago, some of you wondered why I would be vanishing in the middle of May sweeps, upfront madness, and the penultimate week of "Mad Men." Well, I got an offer I couldn't refuse: to appear at the Nordic Media Festival and beautiful Bergen, Norway. I got to see the fjords, meet a whole lot of lovely people, talk "Serial" with producer Dana Chivvis (another festival panelist), and, of course, be interviewed by Norwegian critic and panel judge Asbjørn Slettemark. Here's video of our discussion, during which we are bathed in some funky neon lighting. Also: I am getting new business cards that read "Alan Sepinwall: Kritikerrost Kritiker."

Alan Sepinwall has been reviewing television since the mid-'90s, first for Tony Soprano's hometown paper, The Star-Ledger, and now for HitFix. His new book, "TV (The Book)" about the 100 greatest shows of all time, is available now. He can be reached at sepinwall@hitfix.com
