I'm not doing weekly coverage of "Burn Notice" this season, but I'm still watching and enjoying the show, and particularly still enjoying the interplay between the actors. With Fi off in prison for now that puts even more of an emphasis on Bruce Campbell and how Sam and Mike (and Sam and Jesse) get along, so what better man to introduce a clip from tomorrow night's episode than Campbell himself?
Of particular interest to me was the appearance of guest star John C. McGinley, playing Michael's new CIA handler. I haven't seen much of McGinley since "Scrubs" ended — outside of a couple of State Farm commercials that I assume he did to pay the bills — and I'm glad to have the former Dr. Cox back on my TV and interacting with the likes of Campbell and Donovan.
As usual, "Burn Notice" airs Thursday night at 9 on USA.

June 20, 2012 at 4:25PM EST Reply to Comment"pay the bills" lol, like he needs money, love the joke, I loved Dr Cox, so fantastic and if he gets a chance to speechafy then awesome! If he calls Mike a girls name...even better.
KobraCola Well, he probably actually DOES need the money. He's well-known for/from Scrubs, Office Space, Platoon, and Wall Street, but Scrubs ended in 2010 and the most recent of those movies is Office Space, which came out 13 years ago. He has an ex-wife and 3 kids, including one with Down Syndrome, I believe, so I'm sure he has plenty of bills to pay. Unlike, say, Robert De Niro, who definitely has all the money he'll ever need in the world but still insists on making sh!tty movies, presumably for more money, I would hazard a guess that McGinley actually could use the money from those commercials.

klg19 Well, that's weird--HitFix ate the entire second half of my comment and removed my quotation marks! What's THAT about??
June 20, 2012 at 4:34PM ESTAnyway: shorter version--I loves me some John C McGinley.
Dezbot That's been happening all over the site. Yet another glitch, I guess. Anyway, can't wait for Sam & Dr. Cox on Thursday!

June 20, 2012 at 6:54PM EST Reply to CommentJohn C. McGinley is just aces. Although this being Emmy season it reminds me how he stupidly never got any nominations for Dr. Cox.
FineThanks
June 20, 2012 at 9:26PM EST Reply to CommentIs John C. McGinley related to Ted McGinley? Ted McGinley is famous over at the Jump the Shark website. Supposedly Ted's appearance on any show in any capacity signals that that show will soon be canceled. His presence is a sort of curse according to the Jump the Shark staff/contributors/commenters. I used to spend WAY too much time over there.
