Firewall & Iceberg Podcast, episode 166: Press tour, 'The Following,' 'The Carrie Diaries' & more
Dan and Alan also discuss 'Continuum,' 'Archer,' 'Legit,' 'Kroll Show' and 'Ripper Street'

Time for the last Firewall & Iceberg Podcast for a few weeks in all likelihood, since Dan is going straight from press tour to Sundance, while I've already come from press tour back to my home and family. So we had a lot to cover in this one (which was recorded on Thursday), including what were the most recent days of the tour to that point, but also a lot of new shows debuting over the next couple of weeks, from "The Carrie Diaries" all the way through to "The Following." The lineup:
And as always, feel free to e-mail us questions for the podcast.

January 14, 2013 at 3:11PM EST Reply to CommentI was really hoping for a review or Podcast bit on Prosecuting Casey Anthony. Will you be covering it at all?
dan Jeff - Alas, no.

joel No offense to Jeff, but even if Prosecuting Casey Anthony is the Citizen Kane of ripped-from-the-headlines TV movies, I'm glad you didn't talk about it because seriously, enough time and energy has been expended on that media fiasco.
January 14, 2013 at 6:18PM ESTJeff No worries Joel, my friend is playing Casey Anthony in her first slightly prominent part, thought it'd be fun to hear the podcast talk about someone I know well.
January 14, 2013 at 11:11PM ESTjoel I wish your friend all the luck in the world with her career and hope that this leads her to continued fame and fortune (and she got to work with Rob Lowe!). Being surrounded by people obsessed with this case for months, my patience for it wore out long ago. Can't replace family an coworkers that easily, and I'm sure many of them tuned in.

January 14, 2013 at 10:39PM EST Reply to CommentMaybe you could do a review of each House of Cards episode over the course of a few weeks - say, on Tuesdays and Fridays - and those of us who want to follow along with your reviews can watch the show at that pace. Of course, some might not like doing that because of a fear of spoilers - personally, I don't use Twitter, so I should be fine - but just a thought.

January 15, 2013 at 5:26PM EST Reply to CommentIt seems like such a dumb business move by Netflix to release all the AD episodes at once. Most people who might have been tempted to subscribe to see them can then just use a free two week trial and see them all and quit.
With any other company I might wonder if they are being crazy like a fox somehow but with Netflix's history of missteps that's not likely.
