Once a Browncoat, always a Browncoat. Twelve years after cancelation of the show and nine years after the fan demanded sequel "Serenity," the thirst for new stories has not abated. Despite character deaths, despite Joss Whedon moving on to new projects, despite everything stacked against it, fans still clamor for more. If any show on this list is going to make a triumphant comeback…perhaps a 15th anniversary special complete with a pre-teen Washburne learning to pilot like his late father…it should be "Firefly." After all, no power in the Verse can stop them.

In today's television climate of "The Walking Dead" and "Under The Dome" perhaps "Jericho" would've faired better than in 2006. Even without a supernatural hook, this show about the dynamics of a small town in a post-nuclear fallout America made riveting storytelling. Unlike most apocalyptic wastelands, audiences were invited to watch the birth of one in the immediate destructive aftermath…when civilization is still figuring out which of the old rules still apply and which need to be thrown out in favor of "Mad Max" survivalism. "Hannibal" and "AHS" prove audiences are now more willing to delve into the darker parts of the human psyche so why not "Jericho?"
