Over the course of nine episodes (including tonight), we have gotten a glimpse into what life might have been like for the Vikings. Naturally there are some differences here. For instance, we haven't seen them, but there certainly are cameras present here. Not only that, but some of the times when it looks like they're in a real place, that place is actually not real but rather inside a studio. Yes, that's right, while a historical look at the Vikings and what life may have been like back then, some dramatic license has been taken as this is a drama and not a reality series (where license is still taken). Tonight is the final episode, see how it ends.

Here we are, the end of the second season of "Vikings." Now, the show is on the History Channel, so we do feel it incumbent to ask you exactly what you learned this season about vikings or the ways in which vikings lived. Have you picked up any new viking skills? Have you learned how to pilot a boat? Have you learned how to slay your enemies? Have you learned how to fall in love? Listen, there are any number of things that the show could teach you, and it's History Channel, so it's supposed to teach you. Tune in tonight and try to walk away with a lesson learned.

Last season on "Vikings" there was the exact sort of pillaging/talk of pillaging/desire for pillaging that you would expect from Vikings. Tonight, the series returns with a brand new season which, presumably, will again feature pillaging/talk of pillaging/desire for pillaging. You would feel kind of disappointed if it didn't, wouldn't you? But, there's more to the series as well -- it offers up a glimpse into what life was like for the Vikings and the importance they placed on family and community. The new season begins tonight.
