Vikings

The History Channel press release on "Vikings" tells us that we're going to get a look at Vikings from the inside.  We kind of wish that meant they were going to do one of those cool shrinking people stories and literally go inside a Viking so we could see their blood vessels and stuff, but that's not what they're talking about.  No, they mean that we're going to be getting a look at Viking society from the inside rather than front interlopers entering it.  Gabriel Byrne, Jessalyn Gilsig, and Travis Fimmel are amongst the stars here in this Dark Age family historical drama concoction.  And, as noted, it all takes place in the past which really is History fulfilling their history-based requirement.
