Unfortunately for her, but fortunately for us, Selina Meyer hasn't had the easiest of seasons.  To suggest that she and her staff are gaff prone is to undersell things by more than a little.  As we say, that really is a bad thing for her, but it's great for us because we get to see the vast quantities of funny that result from these gaffs.  If she did everything in a perfectly straight, humor-free way then this wouldn't be much of a comedy, it would be like a dour version of "The West Wing" if "The West Wing" only focused on the VPs and not the P.  Nobody would wan tthat, especially with the cast being as funny as it is.
