"Top Shot" has been doing an 'all-star' season this time out, and tonight, on the season finale, we see who is the best of the best. Tonight on "Top Shot," Colby Donaldson will crown someone the winner and declare everyone else the losers. Okay, to be fair, most of the people involved have already lost, but there's always the chance that someone will get brought back after elimination, right? Yeah, well, that can't happen after tonight's episode. Once the winner is declared, there's no going back on it.

So, Colby Donaldson, who came to fame on "The Apprentice," a show which just did an all-star season, hosts "Top Shot" which is doing an all-star season this year. Is fate having a sense of humor with us or is something more nefarious going on? We vote for nefarious, but that's not what's important here. What is important is that it's true, the best marksmen (and markswomen) around are going to return tonight with only one aim -- the bulls-eye. And, by 'bulls-eye' we mean the winner's circle at the end of the season.

Like them, love them, or hate them it can't be denied that guns are an amazing thing. Here is this small device which can create such an incredible amount of destruction. The ability to wield such an instrument in a precise manner is both important for the use of such a thing and impressive. This particular TV series puts the top marksmen (and markswomen) they can find before the camera and asks them to fire not just guns, but crossbows and... other projectile firing things too. Colby Donaldson is back as host this season and not only will the final champ walk away with cash, but also with a contract with Bass Pro Shops.

The mission of "Top Shot" is to find the person in this country who applied to be on the series and who is the best shot. They accomplish this via providing a series of tests devised to examine the contestants' ability shooting a multitude of instruments in a multitude of situations. We're hoping next season they'll be firing SAM missiles from an aircraft carrier but aren't sure that History will allow such a thing. As for this season and tonight, it is time for the show to pick a winner. We have our bulls-eye on one contestant and we'll let you know after the fact if we're right.

If you're like us, you constantly wonder with a show like "Top Shot" how it could air on the History Channel and you don't entirely buy their 'history made every day' slogan. Well, "Top Shot" actually has a basis in history as many of the things that are used to shoot other things on the show are old or historical or have some sort of historical significance. Okay, this isn't an hour-long explanation of Hitler's bunker, but History is allowed to do things besides Nazi documentaries.

"Top Shot" is out to find the best sharpshooter that they possibly can and tonight we find out who is the top shot of the second season of "Top Shot." One of the reasons the competition proves interesting is because it's far more than just a hand folks a gun and have them shoot bulls-eyes. They're shooting from vehicles, they're shooting from cranes, they're firing off Tomahawks. It's history meets weaponry hosted by the guy who didn't win the second season of "Survivor" even though he absolutely should have on the History Channel and tonight the winner is crowned.
