Here is what happens on this series -- Marcus Lemonis goes around the country and saves companies. The saving isn't free, it is rather an investment and Lemonis isn't solely doing it out of the goodness of his heart (as we see things) as much as he's doing it to get a piece of the pie. Oh, don't get us wrong, there's unquestionably some sense of desire to help on his part here, there is a goodness of his heart piece of the puzzle, it just isn't the only piece. The second season has been extended, but don't expect to see more new episodes for a while.

As you may recall from season one of "The Profit," the show is really much more about making money (profit) as opposed to being able to tell the future (prophet), but we wouldn't say that it exclusively features the former over the latter. Let us consider it, if Marcus Lemonis is going out to fix businesses so that he can make a profit, isn't he something of a prophet even if he's working to make his prophecies come true? We think he is, tune in and see if we're wrong -- season two gets started tonight.
