As much as we love "The Newsroom" it has led to something of a problem for us -- we are now going around trying to civilize people. Everyone we meet who does something truly stupid (or even a little bit stupid) is yet another person we feel as though we need to pull aside and explain things to. Do they realize that the government isn't there for them? Do they understand the power of the media? Do they get the responsibility that journalists have? Do they bother with all that celebrity gossip? Can they figure out what major world event "The Newsroom" is leading up to in a particular episode? The list of questions goes on and on. Ah, well, at least the show will spoon feed us all the answers we need tonight.

This is it, the final episode of "The Newsroom," a show which was, perhaps, not as loved by critics as other Aaron Sorkin series. Even so, HBO gave it two full and one abbreviated seasons. The show entered this last run of episodes knowing it would be the final one. This season has been building to this moment tonight, building to this episode. What will happen in it? What final message will Sorkin deliver?

The third season of "The Newsroom" will also be the last season of "The Newsroom." It will consist of six episodes, down from last season's nine and the season before's 10. Even so, that puts the total output for the Aaron Sorkin series at 25 episodes, which is a nice round number. We do not know at this point which windmills will be tilted at, but we can promise you this, there will be windmills, and there will be tilting.
