The Newsroom

Aaron Sorkin and HBO -- it sounds like, quite potentially, a match made in heaven.  Sorkin's newest series premieres tonight on the premium cable network.  "The Newsroom" is about the goings on within a cable news network.  Starring Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, Oliva Munn, and more, the show promises to have Sorkin's unique brand of televisual wit and brains.  And, as we say, combine the man who brought us "The West Wing" and Sports Night" and "The Social Network" with the network that aired "The Sopranos" and "The Wire" and "True Blood," and we could be in for something tremendous.
