You can probably reasonably expect Chris Hardwick's "Nerdist" television series to focus on that which is important to nerds, but we feel like with tonight's episode they're going above and beyond the call of duty. Yup, tonight we're getting legendary director Guillermo del Toro ("Pacific Rim") and Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff). Come on, you really can't do much better with this sort of thing for a regularly scheduled television program. Oh yes, it's true. So say we all.

In the first of tonight's two "Nerdist" specials, we're getting an hour of Comic-Con. Now it is true that Comic-Con ended about two weeks ago and that you've read every little bit of coverage here at HitFix, but that doesn't mean that you're not going to find some of what Chris Hardwick says terribly interesting. The second "Nerdist" special is a tribute to toys and games. Like games (he asked knowingly)? Then you'll love Chris Hardwick saluting them. Maybe not quite saluting them James May-style, but saluting them nonetheless.
