Listen, there's this moment in the season of a fantasy sports league where you're likely to forget to alter your roster, where you're likely to forget that you have a game you need to be concerned about, where you're likely to think 'Hey, my baby's diaper needs to be changed and that's just more important than fantasy football.' Don't let that sort of mindset creep in. You have to fight it. And, don't think that you only have to fight it with fantasy sports, you have to fight it with shows about fantasy sports too. We may be in the third week of the new season for "The League," but that's absolutely no reason you should think that your child's diaper is remotely more important than watching tonight's episode. It just isn't (and we say this as a parent of two). "The League"'s season continues tonight. Watch.

People take their fantasy football quite seriously -- we take our fantasy football quite seriously so we know. Now, people play fantasy baseball too (again, we do), but we think that people tend to take football that much more seriously because there are fewer games over fewer weeks and so each weekend counts more. Plus, there's this FX comedy which focuses on a fantasy football league. You should check it out if you haven't seen it before, it's quite possible you'll laugh -- the show has been very funny.

Much to their dismay, Pete and Kevin are reluctantly dragged to a terrible Christmas party, but they'd much rather be spending their time watching the playoffs; Ruxin and Taco decide to take on a special mission in Chinatown.

Just as the football season is coming to an end, so too must the current season of "The League." To describe the series as a quirky show about a bunch of folks in a fantasy football league may not actually quite do justice to it. It is, also quite funny... even if you don't like fantasy football. Okay, it's just possible that the show is even funnier if you don't play or like fantasy football... if you do play fantasy football the show might hit a little too close to home (we know that it does, on occasion, for us). That isn't to say you won't find it funny, you will, it's just that it may tweak you a little.

People are obsessive (and vaguely crazy) about their fantasy football teams and nowhere is that personified better than via the characters in FX's "The League." These folks are insane about their fantasy football, they don't just take it seriously, they take it more seriously than life itself. What does that mean for you? Well, two things. First, it will help you understand where fantasy football players are coming from, and second, it will make you laugh at where fantasy football players are coming from. Trust us, we know people like this... we work with people like this.

Is there anything quite so humorous and so sad as adult men complaining about their fantasy football team (and we don't just say that because we're writing this during the exact same time that our fantasy football draft is taking place elsewhere and we're sure we're going to get a horrible team and be made fun of relentlessly for the next five months)? That's the question "The League" attempts to answer (maybe) as they head into their second season, a season complete with a guest appearance in the premiere by none other than he who was originally named Chad Johnson himself.
