  We told you last week to gird yourself for today.  We told you last week that the first season of "The Carrie Diaries" was going to end tonight and now, the day has arrived.  We don't believe that tonight's episode is going to feature a conclusion in which Carrie magically ages and turns into Sarah Jessica Parker but the truth is that even if there's the slightest chance of it happening we'll be tuning in.  Now, as we say, we have no reason whatsoever to expect that such a transformation will take place, but not having seen the episode we can't say for certain that it doesn't happen.

  Next week we will be saying 'goodbye' to "The Carrie Diaries" for, well, let's say the foreseeable future.  Might there be a second season?  Yes, there might.  Of course there might.  Naturally, the opportunity for a second season would be aided by fans of the series sending in Manolo Blahniks to the nice folks over at The CW.  This would ensure that The CW knows just how many individuals watch "The Carrie Diaries" and the staggering depth of the viewers' disposable income.  So, tune in tonight, gird yourself for next week's finale, and contemplate what season two might look like.
