The American Baking Competition

This series, as you well know, is called "The American Baking Competition." It is steeped in Americana, steeped in it. Tomorrow, as you well know, is the Fourth of July, our Independence Day. Will this American series do something special for July 4th? We certainly hope so. We very much want to see a bunch of apple pies served tonight. Not only that, but we want a full discussion of the pros and cons of topping with ice cream vs. a nice slice of cheese. Nothing could be more American. Come on Jeff Foxworthy and company, don't fail us now, you can fit such a thing into an episode called 'Patisserie.'

We won't tell you that this has exactly been a long hard slog on "The American Baking Competition," but it has been a delicious slog. Actually, we don't even like the word 'slog' to describe the deliciousness. It has been a cornucopia of delicious treats, "The American Baking Competition," it has. Tonight though, slog or cornucopia, it ends. Tonight, a final winner is declared and we move on to the next in our great summer television adventures. We are having some trouble with the idea that a summer series is done already, but this is the season finale.
