Claire Danes is taking on the title role in this new HBO film. It is the story of Temple Grandin, who is an author, animal scientist, and autism advocate. Grandin came of age when there was far less known about autism than there is today (she was diagnosed in 1950). The film will explore Grandin's childhood/young adulthood and the beginnings of her career, and aims to actually give the viewer a glimpse inside the her mind and the way she perceives things. It also stars Catherine O'Hara, Julia Ormond, and David Strathairn.
