Sullivan & Son

Do you remember this series? It is the one about the successful lawyer in Manhattan who ends up leaving his job in order to move back to Pittsburgh and help his parents run a bar. We know, the very notion is comedic, perhaps that's why it did well enough during its first season that TBS renewed it for a second. We imagine that much of the funny this year will involve working at the pub and home life and that kind of thing -- it's not like they're going to go and have him switch jobs again, becoming a burger flipper in Toledo (not that there's anything wrong that).

Tonight, "Sullivan & Son" returns for its third season premiere. Not only that, but the episode is going to feature good, old, Ken Jeong. Jeong plays this guy, Jason, who just married Susan, and, well, listen, the particulars of that are somewhat less important than the fact that Jeong is here and his character realizes that he has never been able to properly satisfy his spouse. Hilarity, as they say, ensues.

Dan Lauria (Kevin's Dad, if you're of that age) plays Steve Sullivan in "Sullivan & Son" while Steve Byrne plays Steve Sullivan. Going strictly by these men's ages, we're going to say that Byrne is the son and not the Sullivan even if he is a Sullivan. As for the show itself, it's a sitcom about a NY attorney who moves back to Pittsburgh to help with his parents' bar. The second season of the sitcom ends tonight. As of this writing, no third season has been ordered, but there hasn't been a statement that there won't be a third season either. Your watching tonight may make a difference.
