We only got 13 episodes of "Suburgatory" this season as opposed to a full 20-plus. That, we won't lie to you, makes us kind of sad, but we have been thinking about it a lot and we have found a way to alleviate some of that upset. Listen, the way we've viewed this season is that they have managed to pack 22 or 24 episodes of funny into a mere 13. We choose to believe that this season has been extra funny, extra charming, extra awesome. We choose to suck in every bit of "Suburgatory" funny and it leaves us, if not satiated, content. Don't miss the series finale tonight so you can add to your contentment.

We are going to be honest for a moment -- we have no idea who Piggy Duckworth is, but we do know that tonight's episode is going to clue us in. You see, this episode of "Suburgatory" is called "The Ballad of Piggy Duckworth" and we therefore have made the not-so-astronomical leap that tonight's episode will clue us in about whom Piggy Duckworth might be. We aren't entirely convinced that the Piggy Duckworth in question is human, if we were creating Piggy Duckworth we'd make him a stuffed pig-duck hybrid, but we'll find out tonight.

Happiness. Happiness is here. People, "Suburgatory" is back tonight. It is true that Alan Tudyk and Rex Lee are no longer on the show, and while we will miss them, we hope that the show manages to maintain its sense of humor and utter ridiculousness without them (although, to be fair, both men added a lot of ridiculousness). But as the saying goes, the show must go on, and it goes on tonight at 8:30, so be very excited. We're excited, and we live right near the part of the world at which they're poking fun.

This is it then, the end of the second season of "Suburgatory." Will there be a third season or will Jane Levy go off and become a massive movie star? We simply love this show, it is a series which manages to be heartwarming and truly funny all at the same time. Who doesn't feel for Noah and his unrequited love and yet find it absolutely hysterical to watch him try to woo Carmen? What about Dalia learning about Judaism? And don't even get us started on poor Mr. Wolfe and his lost love. Funny. All around funny. Hopefully another season (or two) is in the offing.

New episodes during the second season of "Suburgatory" have been airing at 9:30pm. Okay, if you want to be a stickler about things, they've been airing at 9:31pm, but we think that you're really splitting hairs there. The important thing to note is that beginning tonight--and allegedly for the rest of the second season--"Suburgatory" is going to be airing at 8:30pm (no wise guy, not 8:31, legitimately 8:30). And, as for that season finale, unless we're wrong, that's going to be at the end of the month. Don't miss an episode, weird things are happening in Chatswin--weird and wonderful--and you're not going to want to miss a single minute.

When Tessa and Dalia get their PSAT results, Dalia gets a new car, but Tessa only gets ice cream as a reward; miffed about her gift, Tessa becomes obsessed with finding out Dalia's score, leading to an argument between Dallas and George.

One of the ongoing storylines on "Suburgatory" deals with George's relationship with Tessa (you would kind of expect that, they're the family at the center of the sitcom). They, quite clearly, don't have the most conventional of father-daughter things going on. A large part of the reason for that is Alex, George's wife and Tessa's mother, abandoning them when Tessa was still too young to remember her. Well, Alex returned in time for Thanksgiving this year (okay, a couple of hours late for it and at the wrong address), and she's going to be back tonight to celebrate Christmas. Plus, Tim Meadows as going to be on as well. That makes for a whole lot of funny in just a half-hour of time.

It has been a long, hot, humid, horrendous summer in the 'burbs without Tessa on our television screens. We certainly like George and Dallas and everyone else on the show, but there is something so wonderful and wholesome about Tessa and her ways. She is that smart, witty, wise child, the one whom the college professor falls in love with and then loses his job over. Okay, maybe it's not quite that bad, but it could be, especially if she were to encourage them... or wear glasses; if she wore glasses that might be enough.

Tessa inspires the student body to get involved with giving back, but their charity of choice involves helping Florida residents improve their complexions; George receives a hefty dental bill from Noah, which complicates their relationship.

Ours is not to review and rate (you should totally be clicking those buttons on this event page however), but can we just say how much we love "Suburgatory?" Tess and George (alt story or no) have entered our homes this season and taught us to love the suburbs. You may see things differently, but our reading of the show--and in no way whatsoever our living in the suburbs--tells us that the place Tess and George live is just wonderful. Quirky? Yes, but wonderful, wonderfully quirky, and wonderfully funny.

When you think of Alicia Silverstone, what is it that pops immediately to mind? For many of us, it's her playing 'Cher' in "Clueless." Her character there is kind of a precursor to many of the girls in Chatswin on "Suburgatory." Will her role be similar tonight? We're not so sure, she's going to be playing some sort of potential love interest for George and we really hope that George doesn't go in for such vapidness. He might though, particularly if the vapidness looks kind of like Alicia Silverstone. And, PS, it's a multi-episode arc.

James Lipton is well known for sitting behind a weird little table/desk thingy and asking famous people to discuss their work. He does this with a stack of index cards so big that their cost rivals the GDP of small nations. Tonight on "Suburgatory" he very well may have the chance to still be sitting behind a desk with index cards again as he's playing a shrink, which, if you think about it, is kind of what he does on "Inside the Actor's Studio." Jonathan Slavin ("Better off Ted") will be on as well, and while we don't think the two will necessarily have scenes together, Slavin regularly plays folks we think of as needing professional help.

As you know, Dallas is now single... or about to be single... or maybe not so much about to be single as she's currently seeing something of a younger man. Said younger man is being played by one of tonight's guest stars, Wilder Valderrama. Maybe we'll get to see if Valderrama truly is a handy man(ny) tonight. Also guest starring on the episode is some dude named Michael Sorrentino who apparently goes by the nickname 'The Situation.' The guy is, it seems, on a show known as "Jersey Shore," which is a relatively popular, allegedly-reality series. Can Sorrentino act? Obviously there are rumors that he's already doing that on the other series, but we'll get a real look at him tonight.

If there is one thing scarier than the suburbs, it is Halloween in the suburbs. Oh, we don't mean that it's going to be scary like things-that-go-bump-in-the-night scary, no, it's going to be scary like what-are-those-people-thinking-celebrating-like-that scary. Presumably part of those scares will center around Jay Mohr's appearance, a truly frightening concept. Mohr plays Steven Royce, Dallas' husband, and as we all know, Dallas has been hitting on George pretty seriously the last few weeks. Will Steven be okay with that? We have to wonder and look forward to finding out.
