We are not here to tell you whether or not it was a good idea for NBC to have "Revolution" disappear from the schedule for almost four months. Much like the elimination of all power from the dystopic future which "Revolution" presents, there are arguments to be made both ways. The important think to note is that "Revolution" is starting up again tonight and will, if all things go as planned, air every single week until the season ends. After that, well, let us not concern ourselves with what the future may bring... except for the future presented on "Revolution."

With tonight's episode, "Revolution" ends its second, and final, season. That makes this a time for reflection, a time for thought, a time for contemplation. Have you stopped to consider where "Revolution" has taken us this season? Have you stopped to ask yourself what it is that you've seen and what are the larger arguments the show is making about our society? Well, now is exactly the right time to think about all those things. Switch on that light, turn on that power, think about what it all means for tonight is the final episode of the series.

We are not, we are sad to say, terribly far away from the season finale of "Revolution." Actually, this is the second to last episode of the year. Seriously, wow, that is awfully close to the end of it all. Here is what we hope for the future -- we want the power back on and we want it back on permanently. We aren't sure how that desire will jive with the Patriots changing tactics tonight and Miles & Monroe consequently deciding to play a little dirty, but perhaps "dirty" means turning on the power (what with the pollution it would cause).

We ask you, are you a patriot? We are a patriot. Okay, that puts us on the wrong side of the law, but isn't the wrong side of the law the fun side of the law. Well, maybe you want to be a good guy. You should, obviously, fee free to go that route... we just wonder if you'll really enjoy yourself that way. Tell you what, tune in tonight to the return of "Revolution" and make an informed choice about which way you want to head.

We have so many questions about "Revolution." We want to know what is going on in the minds of some of the characters so badly. We want to understand their desire to plunge the world into darkness for their own personal greed and yet have themselves portrayed as sympathetic for television audiences. But, we won't ask those questions. We won't engage in that sort of guessing game. Instead, we will tell you that tonight is the fall finale, and we will leave it at that. Why? Because we are a patriot.

Unless our math is horribly off, Zeljko IVanek was first on "Revolution" last week, but what with your getting your Halloween outfit ready you may have missed him. Well, he's going to be on again this week, which gives you another opportunity to see him. Plus, there will be the usual "Revolution" shenanigans including people remembering way back when, and cogitating on those moments when the power did come back oh so briefly (just long enough for some nukes to be launched).

At the end of last season, some monumental events took place on "Revolution." As is our policy, we're not going to spoil it all for you here, but we expect that we'll get a "previously on 'Revolution'" thing at the beginning of tonight's episode which will not only get you up to speed but will also contain all many of spoilers for those of you who haven't seen season one. The real question is not what happened last time out, but what the poducers have up their sleeves for this new season. Do they have another compelling tale to tell? So many shows have had promising first seasons and then never been able to get out of their sophomore slumps. Will "Revolution" go that way?

We have been promised many answers on "Revolution." We feel as though some answers have been delivered, but there are still a whole lot of questions rattling about our brain prior to tonight's season finale. Will we get all the answers we have been promised? Well, we would bet that a large number of answers will be forthcoming, but that along with those answers we are going to get a massive set of new questions. "Revolution" has been renewed for a second season so there is certainly a possibility that answers to new questions will be coming, but we aren't going to bet on that.

After disappearing for far too long, "Revolution" returned last week, and at PaleyFest back in March we were promised that we wouldn't see the season end without answers. We don't know that any of those answers will be coming tonight, but we are quite certain that we don't have any interest in letting a single episode pass us by because there's a possibility that we might get answers. That is enough to make the show a must watch. We are quite certain that "Lost"-style, the answers will only lead to more questions, but that's just part of the wonder of such a show.

People we don't want to go out and tell you that the world is coming to an end, but the fall season of this show most definitely isn't going to last beyond tonight. Think of it, as we stated in the flyover description, as an apocalypse for this series, or at least the fall part of this series. We expect you to be sad. We expect you to cry and fight and whine and say that it's not fair, but we also expect you to pick up and move on with your life. It isn't like you're in Seattle and your kids are in England and you're never ever going to see them again, it's just a fall finale. Gird yourself appropriately.

What happens in a world without electricity? No, not the world of 200 years ago without electricity, today's world (or the near future anyway) without electricity. Well, first off, you wouldn't have us here to tell you to watch a show from J.J. Abrams, Jon Favreau, and Eric Kripke all about such a world. You know, we're not even going to do a number two, because that number one was totally enough. You should definitely watch the show though, even if it hypotheses a world without us. Does that make us sad? It does, but perhaps sad in a good way.
