Revenge

Whatever you do, don't call "Revenge" "The Countess of Monte Cristo."  It is not that such a name would be wholly inaccurate, but much more that ABC has chosen not to call the show that and, let's face it, it's a way longer name than just "Revenge."  The story though may, at first blush anyway, have a whole lot of similarities including the idea that an individual has returned to a town where they have been wronged under an assumed name in order to exact revenge.  Plus, the book is really, really long, and the producers of this series would also like the show to remain for a really, really long time as well.
