So, this is the third episode of the Greg Kinnear as curmudgeonly lawyer series that we won't call anything like "House." What, pray tell, do you think of it so far? Now, if your answer is that your still on the fence or that your absolutely love it, we highly encourage you to tune in for tonight's third episode. Perhaps, if you're on the fence it'll answer your questions, perhaps if you love it your opinion will only be solidified. Perhaps, well, perhaps we won't make a federal case out of it. We'll leave that to Rake.

A total of 13 "Rake" episodes were produced and, by our count, 12 of those episodes have aired. Tonight then, the airing of this episode, "Mammophile," may be the last episode premiere the series will ever have. Overall, the episode number seems to indicate that it was the sixth one produced, so don't hold out hope for anything to happen to wrap it all up, but who knows, maybe we're wrong and this somehow will clear up and all lingering issues surrounding the show.

The Greg Kinnear series "Rake" has not officially been cancelled, but we are going to tell you this -- the odds of it coming back next year don't look particularly good. The show not only was moved from its original Thursday night time slot to Fridays, but it has now been bumped from Fridays. Tonight we're getting two back-to-back episodes which, presumably, will be closing out the season. Technically, there is one more episode that hasn't aired yet (episode six, actually), but you probably shouldn't expect to see it broadcast in the near future.
