There was unquestionably some trepidation when it was announced that NBC was actually going to take to series an Americanized version of the great British show, "Prime Suspect." However, the series and Maria Bello have proven to be truly excellent. Just being good television doesn't mean, however, that people will watch. The series has been cancelled so we suggest you suck in all the "Prime Suspect" goodness you possibly can while you still can. Sure, it will live on with a DVD release, but this is the last new broadcast NBC has on its schedule.

We noted back in December that NBC had cancelled this series and that while they had 13 episodes filmed, they hadn't scheduled air dates for the final two episodes. Well, they have now -- NBC is showing episodes 12 and 13 tonight. Maria Bello and company have been wonderful to watch to this point, and we fully expect that excellence to continue for tonight's final two episodes. Have we mentioned yet that this is it, that these are the last two episodes of "Prime Suspect?" Because, if we haven't said it yet, you ought to know that this is it -- the end of the series.
