This season of "Our America with Lisa Ling" has, as with past seasons, seen Ling go around the country and delve into the lives and stories of others in an attempt to shine some light on the struggles with which so many deal.  Three episodes this season have actually featured her returning to old stories to update them and give us even greater insight using the added distance and time.  Tonight's season finale is entitled "The Missing" and we fear that the title indicates that it may prove upsetting.

Lisa Ling, former member of "The View" (seriously, she was on it way back in the day, like way, way back, long before Rosie ever even harbored an idea that she might one day maybe be on the series), hosts this show on OWN which is now entering its third season.  What does it offer?  Well, as per the title, it offers a look at the country in which we live.  Rather than being solely focused on stories of people who live in this country on a surface level, it examines more serious, controversial topics, things like gun violence and foster care and HIV and more.

Following season one, Lisa Ling is back with season two.  This is not particularly remarkable by itself (Lisa Ling is the natural host of "Our America with Lisa Ling" and season two normally follows season one).  What may be more remarkable is the way in which Ling delves into the tales.  She deals with large issues -- polygamy, sex trafficking, amateur porn -- and she talks with everyday, regular old folks.  We are told that Ling experiences things first hand on this series, but we doubt that she'll be trafficking drugs.  Of course, if she is, this becomes even more of a must watch, doesn't it?
