This series is all about the life and death decisions that have to be made at hospitals on a regular basis. Here in season two we will get a look not just at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, but also at Newark University Hospital. So, yes, despite this series' name, the second hospital is not so much in New York as it's in New Jersey. But either way, NJ or NY, we can promise you that you will see medical science in action tonight and that, with any luck, it will amaze you.
Dr. Oz is front and center this week dealing with a patient whose aorta may have a significant tear.

If you have been watching the entire season of "NY Med," you have assuredly seen a number of amazing and heartbreaking cases. You will have seen doctors and patients deal with a tremendous set of issues, attempting to work their way through the problems and get to a point where everyone is happy with the outcome. Of course, that doesn't always happen, but it is certainly the goal. Tonight, the second season of the series closes and we can't tell you how much we are hoping for a happy ending.

New York City has many things. It is actually quite natural that it would, there are millions of people who live in it and millions of people who commute to it on a daily basis. One of the things the city has in abundance is hospitals, world class hospitals. This series follows two of the hospitals in the New York-Presbyterian system, giving us the scoop on the doctors and the patients. The show has followed stories for a full year and shrunk that year down into eight episodes. Said eighth episode, and the end of the year, is tonight.
