No Ordinary Family

After something of a topsy turvy first season, we're hoping for no ordinary season finale tonight on "No Ordinary Family." If the superpowered show has proven anything to us, it's that having a superhero may not actually make you more than ordinary - you have to go out and get that sort of thing for yourself. That may be easier if you have superpowers than if you don't have superpowers, but you still have to make it happen. Tonight's episode is titled 'No Ordinary Beginning' which we imagine means that there's going to be some sort of paradigm shift in the series. Maybe they'll join the Justice League.

Tricia Helfer and Lucy Lawless have both made excellent names for themselves as either leads or ensemble stars in some incredibly well though of television shows. This won't be the first time the two have appeared in the same series, but it certainly is going to be the most recent time the two will have been on screen in the same show. If we had to choose two guest stars that we wanted to see on a regular basis, Lawless and Helfer would definitely be up there, so you can be sure that we'll be watching.

If anyone knows about being a superhero, it's Anthony Michael Hall. Think about it - you'd have to have superpowers to make it so that your elephant lamp doesn't work, anyone can make an elephant lamp work. You'd also have to have superpowers to forget to hook up the doll to the computer the second time you wanted to make Kelly Lebrock come to life when you remembered to do it the first time. Plus he starred in that show based on the Stephen King book, and he had special powers there too. People, it's Anthony Michael Hall, you have to watch.

Last summer we suggested to you on more than one occasion that you should sit down to watch "Persons Unknown." You didn't listen to us (we're still a little sore about that), but maybe you will when we say to watch "No Ordinary Family" this week as Jason Wiles from "Persons Unknown" will be on. Not only would we forgive you for your transgressions if you do this, but it would kind of be like watching "Persons Unknown" by proxy. We don't quite understand how Wiles will be playing Chiklis' character's brother, they don't look very similar, but as long as Wiles is on we're not going to complain.
