Last week on "Nashville," things went down. Oh, things happened. They occurred. This week we get what we like to call the ramifications. This week we get the fallout from what occurred last week and probably some pretty solid cliffhanger stuff all by itself (we're guessing at this last bit). The episode was filmed prior to any announcement about the series' fate for next year, so we're curious to see whether they went with the pat conclusion route or the contemplation on future directions the series could take route. Guess we'll all find out together.

We feel as though we have told you about "Nashville" several times in the past few weeks (and perhaps few weeks to come). Well, we're doing it again tonight, and we're doing it because tonight, Michell Obama is going to be on the series. We don't know exactly what she is going to be doing, but we certainly hope that much of the episode finds her dancing while songs are performed. We saw her dance on Fallon a while back, and it was awesome.

What do you make of this second season of "Nashville?" it is coming to a close in two weeks (May 14th, to be exact) and it's been kind of different from the first season, has it not? Listen, if you've fallen off the bandwagon and don't know what's going on with Rayna and Juliette and Scarlett and everyone else on the series, tune back in tonight because, without a doubt, the show is building towards the season finale. Tonight's episode deals a lot with Scarlett's break down. Expect some soul searching.

There are things that worked very well last season on "Nashville." Then, there are things that just worked in decent fashion. Finally, there are things that didn't work at all. Will the producers of "Nashville" be able to jettison that which didn't work, improve that which did, and keep going with the excellent? Will they find new pitfalls? There are so many possible directions for season two, tune in tonight and see in what direction things head as the second season gets rolling.

You know what we like about Nashville (besides its proximity to Memphis)? It, as it turns out, makes for a great television show. Oh yes, it's true, if you haven't been watching "Nashville" in its first season, might we suggest that you begin doing so as part of your resolutions for the new year? Not only will you get treated to some fun plots and some great acting, but there's music, too. Oh yes, people on "Nashville" sing, and they do so regularly. You're going to love it. Probably. And, if you don't, you've only lost an hour of your time. That is really not much to ask. Do it for yourself.

You remember how "Lost" used to do 800,000 episodes every season where they would try and catch us all up on the the various bits of plot we'd completely missed? Yes, well, tonight "Nashville" is going to catch us up on the half-season that has taken place thus far. So, if you're one of the untold millions who haven't watched "Nashville" or who have missed a bunch of episodes and consequently feel like you can't possibly start watching (or start watching again) now due to the complex nature of the plot, this hour is here to help. You may also want to check it out if you're simply desperately in love with the show and/or characters.

We distinctly remember watching "Father of the Bride" in the theaters and falling for Kimberly WIlliams. Clearly, we did not win her heart as she is now Kimberly Willaims-Paisley and not Kimberly Williams-Calendar-Person, but that's neither here nor there. What is important is that not only is Kimberly Williams-Paisley from our past, but that she's also from Teddy's past on "Nashville." Or, more accurately, her character is from Teddy's past. That isn't going to go particularly well for Rayna and Teddy, now is it? Paul McCrane ("Rocket" Romano) directs the episode.
