Gerald McRaney and Jim Beaver both return tonight for the season finale of this Billy Gardell-Melissa McCarthy starrer. Now, we ask you, do you in general watch this series? If not, why not? You loved McCarthy in "Bridesmaids" and "Identity Thief" and you're seriously considering going to see her star opposite Sandra Bullock in "The Heat." If you're doing oall that, why aren't you watching "Mike & Molly?" Billy Gardell is hysterical and everyone loves Swoosie Kurtz. Listen, the show is going to be back next fall so why not give it a gander tonight and see if it's something you want to watch this summer in repeats and then pick up for the fall season.

Last season, Mike and Molly (on "Mike & Molly," naturally) focused heavily on their wedding. It is, quite naturally, a big moment in anyone's life, but there is, of course, a whole lot of stuff that comes after the wedding. We are going to find out what that post-wedding life looks like tonight. Mike and Molly--again, of "Mike & Molly"--may now be married, but we have a feeling that their adventure is only beginning. Get your first glimpse at that new life tonight as season three begins.

Ah, the bachelor party, that age old tradition wherein people get rip-roaring drunk and lament their upcoming nuptials. On television though that isn't what tends to happen, it tends to be slightly lower-key (except for bachelorette parties which get wild and crazy), which is kind of like how our bachelor party went back in the day. Will "Mike & Molly" follow that mold? Will Mike's dad showing up early throw the entire curve? Will here actually be a wedding somewhere down the line? How many questions can we possibly ask that may or may not be answered?

Tell us, when exactly did you fall in love with Holly Robinson Peete? Was it back in the day when she was on "21 Jump Street," or possibly in "Howard the Duck," or was it when she gave it her all on "The Celebrity Apprentice?" Whether you rooted for or against Peete on the reality series, the truth is that you have to admire that way in which she pursued victory. We hope her character pursues Carl in the same way, because she's going on a date with him tonight, and that could prove interesting.

The nice thing about "Mike & Molly" is that it isn't one of those 'will they or won't they' shows -- you don't have to wait until season six to see the two crazy kids get together only to face new struggles and then watch the show go downhill quite rapidly once the tension is removed. No, the show is entirely about them being a couple and the struggles that entails (trust us, those struggles continue on forever). Oh trust us, there is still a whole lot of tension elsewhere, but it isn't in the 'will they or won't they' area.

So there's this cop named Mike. Mike wants to be thin so he joins Overeaters Anonymous. At OA, Mike meets Molly and it's love at first bite... er, sight. The two find romance, love, and quite probably a modicum of humor as the series progresses. We're not going to get that progression tonight however, instead we're just going to get the series premiere (or the first meeting of the couple if you prefer) which still ought to be pretty humorous. And, the series has Swoosie Kurtz. You can never lose if you have Swoosie Kurtz. You're automatically a winner if you have Swoosie Kurtz. She's like a trump card. She's like the trump card.

As you are undoubtedly aware, "Mike & Molly" is a comedy focused on a guy named Mike and a gal named Molly. They have started this relationship (of the romantic variety) over the course of the season and it's progressed in amusing ways. That's certainly aided by the fact that the two leads, Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy, are funny people. This is your last opportunity to see a brand new first season episode of the series, why don't you avail yourself of the opportunity.
