We are not going to lie to you, we have watched every episode of "Masterchef Junior" and, we're stunned. These kids can cook. We are also, we will note for the sake of honesty, slightly disappointed that our child (who nearly falls into this age group) can't do more than pour cereal. We don't know if it's our fault, but we're wondering if Gordon Ramsay wouldn't mind schooling the tyke. Seriously, how will she be ready for next season if she can't whip together a souffle and do some sort of handmade lobster lasagna.

When we first heard of "Masterchef Junior," we had some concerns. The hosts of the full-sized version aren't always the nicest to those contestants, but they can't exactly be mean to kids, that wouldn't come off well. How then would the show work without that edge? The answer: very well indeed, even if it was clear to everyone from the outset which pint-sized contestant would be victorious. The new season starts tonight, see if the outcome is quite as obvious.
