TV Network - NBC

Tonight, over the course of two hours, you can celebrate the 4th of July in one of the biggest cities in the world with one of the biggest fireworks celebrations.  Tonight, NBC is giving us Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular.  There will be music, there will be gorgeous views of Manhattan and those outer boroughs (none of which really count, sorry Brooklyn but we do appreciate your trying).  We have to assume that the Freedom Tower will be visible more than once.   This is the 4th of July, and while New York may not be our nation's capital, it is our nation's largest city.  Nick Cannon hosts and both Mariah Carey and Tim McGraw are scheduled to appear.

As happens every year, today, NBC will be airing the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks.  Not only is it a celebration of our country, but it is a celebration of New York, one of the greatest cities in our nation.  Macy's, in fact, sponsors many a New York City event, including (but not limited to) this and the Thanksgiving Day parade.  Watch and enjoy your holiday.

The New York City fireworks festivities have been touted as "the biggest fireworks display in the U.S" and whether or not that's true, it is pretty great.  Now, we have, one more than one occasion, found places to watch the NYC fireworks live, and what we can tell you is that there is a lot of pushing and shoving involved (even when you're on a roof, which you wouldn't really think of as being a safe action). Happily, there's a whole lot less shoving involved in sitting in front of our TV to watch the fireworks.  That's what we'll be doing this year.  Give it a try yourself.
