Dan here... I've seen this week's episode of "Lost," titled "Jughead." I don't want to go into details -- the show's producers would probably track me down and kill me -- but the episode has more "OMG" moments (if you happen to be a text-happy teenage girl) than any hour in recent memory.

We want the truth! We can handle the truth! Okay, that may not be entirely accurate, but we certainly think we can handle the truth, and that's exactly what we hope to get tonight. We fully expect that threads won't be tied up; that more questions will be asked than answered; and that we will finish the night in awe, astounded, and completely perplexed. Are we setting our sights a little too high, are our expectations too great? They might be, but if they are it's only because the show raised them to that level, and now the folks on "Lost" will just have to meet them.

Dear "Lost" producers, this episode marks the halfway point in the final season. Please, we beg of you, the series is drawing to a close and we don't want to walk away from the series finale (two months from tonight) and have to call you 'Jack Nicholson.' We beg of you, we want the truth, we can handle the truth. If the folks on Oceanic 815 have all been given a Code Red - if that's all this is - we're okay with that, but let us know. We'll say it again - we're hitting the halfway point in the season tonight, we're two months from the finale, time to get serious (not that this season hasn't been great).

The final season of the mysterious series continues to tonight. We can't begin to suggest that we have any idea about what might be taking place on that mysterious island, as we may have said before, but we're still completely fascinated. We fully expect to get more revelations this week, something that would amuse us to no end if there weren't about 800 new questions that come with every revelation. Fine, fine, you caught us, each revelation amuses us no matter how many questions come with it.

Perhaps Jimmy Buffett said it best when he opined, "I want to go back to the island." I think we all want to go back to the island. Jimmy may have been looking for oysters and beer every single day of the year, but us, we want answers. This week's episode of "Lost is entitled 'What Kate Does,' which certainly indicates that Kate is both relevant and active in the episode. However, with less than a full season to go now, every episode of "Lost" is going to be crucial, so whatever Kate may or may not do this week, you still ought to be tuning in.

This is it, the endgame is upon us. Just what is the island? What the heck is going on with John Locke... is it even John Locke anymore? We want answers! We want the truth! Can we handle it? Goodness knows, but we're certainly going to find out as Locke and company return with back-to-back episodes to kick off the final season of "Lost." The two-parter is entitled 'LA X (Parts 1 and 2).'

The fifth season of "Lost" reaches its conclusion on ABC with a two-hour episode titled "The Incident" (Part 1 & 2).
The "Lost" finale comes from the braintrust of writers Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse, plus director Jack Bender.
Of the episode, ABC says, "Jack's decision to put a plan in action in order to set things right on the island is met with some strong resistance by those close to him, and Locke assigns Ben a difficult task."
Expect several answers and many more questions...

For many shows, the 100th episode is a chance to do a big milestone episode full of narrative craziness and shocking twists. For "Lost"? That just means it's another Wednesday.
The episode, titled "The Variable," is a Daniel Farady episode, which means plenty of twitchy intellectualizing from Jeremy Davies. We episode plenty of mind-bending as Faraday reveals everything he knows about The Island.
Oh and if "The Variable" is half as good as "The Constant," we can't wait.

We've met the Oceanic Six. We've learned how they got off The Island. What we don't know is why they'd want to go back.
Actually, there are hundreds of things we don't know, but that's the beauty of "Lost," which returns to ABC for its fifth season.
ABC will premiere "Lost" with a two-hour event, which will be preceded by an hour-long recap special that will remind faithful, but not-quite-obsessive, fans of where we left things last spring.
