TV Network - ABCTonight is the 18th episode of the second season of "Last Man Standing" and as such it is the final episode of the season as well. We don't know if you've followed Tim Allen to his move on Friday nights, but if you have you're sure to have seen him perplexed by a world that he doesn't understand and living in a house with more estrogen than he knows what to do with and maybe even ending sentences with prepositions (which would have done if not for that last clause). By the end of a half-hour episode, Allen's character is a smarter, wiser man, but one who still doesn't quite know how to deal with all the women in his life and that allows the next episode to take place.

There is something fantastic about a sitcom on a Friday evening. The work week is hard and relentless, and sometimes you just want to kick your shoes off, put those dogs up on the sofa, and just laugh at your television screen while Tim Allen makes funny noises and complains about the opposite sex. You deserve to enjoy your Friday evening and that's why Tim Allen is there, to help you enjoy it. Tune in tonight and watch as he messes up his life and family pretty badly in the opening half of the episode and then makes it all better in the second half.

We like to think that delaying the start of "Last Man Standing" until the beginning of November was some sort of humorous notion someone over at corporate came up with dealing with the show's title. Something along the lines of this premiere being the last sitcom left to start on ABC (outside of the one that is going to air right after it any way). We don't really think it makes for a funny joke, but not every joke has to be funny, some are simply insightful. We aren't sure that this is that, but hey, it wasn't us who made the joke in the first place, it was the schedulers over at ABC. Blame them, not us. Please.

"Last Man Standing" has morphed somewhat over the course of this season, and, some would say (not necessarily us, we're not jumping on a pro or con soapbox here) it has settled into a typical family sitcom sort of a feel. We tell you what, why don't you take a moment (or 30) and tune into the season's final episode. Let us know what you think -- is the show more of a "Home Improvement" now than it was at the beginning of the season? If you haven't watched an episode since the start of the season, give it a try again, what have you possibly got to lose?

Please, for one night, consider that maybe we should forget everything we think we know about "Last Man Standing." Maybe, for one night, we should just tune into the series without any sort of preconceptions about what Tim Allen may or may not do. People, Elvira is on tonight. Yes, that's right, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, is going to be on "Last Man Standing." We figure that by the end of the episode it could be that there are no men left standing -- in our world, Elvira can bowl over anyone. Come on, it's Elvira! Elvira! Do we need to say more, because we don't mind repeating 'Elvira' all day long if necessary?
