Oh, she's no vampire or werewolf (at least not that we know of), but she certainly has taught us all about Bloodgood and the Moon.  No, we're not entirely sure what that last sentence means, but if you think about it long enough you may be able to tell us (and don't think we wouldn't appreciate that).  In any case, Moon Bloodgood (whom you ought to know and love) guest stars as a doctor on tonight's episode of "Human Target."  We can also tell you that Christopher Chance is going to be hunting a missing doctor in the episode.  Could the two be one and the same?  We certainly have our suspicions.

At some point in early January (you must forgive us for not being more specific, the month is one big snowy blur in our mind), Tony Hale guest starred on "Human Target," and being Tony Hale he was pretty funny and enjoyable.  Well, whether it's because he was good last time or someone thinks that he's going to be good this time or they just wanted to bring back his character, Tony Hale is going to be on again tonight.  One has to wonder what sort of shenanigans he'll be getting up to this week, but whatever it is Hale's doing, expect Chance to save the day.

Season two was supposed to begin last month... and then it wasn't going to begin.  It was on the schedule and then it wasn't.  It was a go and then it was a no-go.  Now, that wasn't a decision made due to the nature of "Human Target," it was much more a change caused by other issues on the FOX lineup (see "Lonestar").  "Human Target" is now again on track and scheduled to return tonight... with two new stars.  That's right, the show is bringing in some much needed female casting.  We hope they don't lessen the testosterone, but the women should add some fun to the mix.

We like ourselves some Mark Valley.  We've liked the guy since he was on "Keen Eddie," and straight on through stints on "Boston Legal" and "Fringe."  Valley seems like he's the proverbial super-duper penny, the one that just keeps turning up and you're so happy to see when he does.  Season two of "Human Target" is opening tonight and that means a whole lot more Valley goodness on Friday nights.  Odds are we'll just sit at home tonight (and every Friday night), turn off the lights, recline the chair and watch some Valley.  Good times.

Ordered for a 12 episode first season, "Human Target" is going to be airing its 12th episode tonight, or, put another way, this is the season finale.  Our only real issue with the above sentence is that we're unconvinced that Christopher Chance has actually made himself a human target week after week.  There are definitely weeks where he has, but there have also been a bunch of episodes where he's just going to rescue someone or prevent a murder, not where he has to deflect attention from his client by making himself a target.  Maybe they should have called the show "Human Freelance Security Agent."

Sure, Christopher Chance makes himself into a human target, apparently willing to do anything in order to save his clients.  Yes, he appears to have little compunction about dying.  We simply cannot believe however that he's going to pass away all that quickly, at least not unless FOX is planning on recasting the lead.  If Chance takes a couple too many bullets to the chest his ticker may stop and he'll no longer be able to take future clients, thus endeth the show.  That is unless of course he takes damage Monty Python Black Knight-style - "It's just a flesh wound."
