If you haven't seen any of this season of "Homeland," you've missed something impressive. We have been treated to a good story and some really good acting by our leads. It almost makes us forget about that other show Danes was on as a kid, what was it, that so-called series that everyone liked so much. The show has already been renewed for season two which will have another 12 episodes, but we would seriously doubt that there was time to change this season's finale in light of the renewal. How will it all end tonight? We shall see, we shall see...

Have you watched the full third season of "Homeland?" Listen, as we are writing this and can't hear your response, we aren't going to give away anything that may or may not have occurred during the season. All we are going to say is that there were some big moments last season. Huge moments. This new season will pick up in the wake up that season and has been filmed entirely on location in South Africa. It all gets going with back-to-back episodes tonight.

A lot of stuff took place at the end of the third season of "Homeland," and it can take some time for a series to regroup following that sort of action. We got two episodes of "Homeland" to start the season, and that got us on our way, then last week things started to settle in, and here we are in episode four, with things rocking and rolling. Or, at least, they should be rocking and rolling tonight. Tune in and find out, after this week 1/3 of the season will be over.

Did the third season of "Homeland" send the show off into a new and interesting direction? It might have, but we certainly wouldn't ever say that here as that would be considered a spoiler. The series stars Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, and Damian Lewis. It hits DVD today.

There have been some twists here on the third season of "Homeland," have there not? We aren't going to delve into them here out of fear that some of you may not be fully caught up, but trust, there have been some twists. We don't have any belief that we're going to get a conclusion tonight, but the season is going to end. Will there be a massive cliffhanger of a conclusion accompanied by huge revelations? We don't think that's unlikely and we will certainly be tuning in to watch.

Listen, we aren't going to tell you here whether this has been as good a season of "Homeland" as other seasons of "Homeland." What we are going to tell you is that just like the first two seasons of the series, this one is 12 episodes long. Tonight is episode 11 of season three, which means that it ends next week. Tonight then, we can probably expect pieces to get moved into position for an explosive finale (perhaps quite literally explosive). Or, maybe they'll go "Game of Thrones" style and have all the big action take place in the season's penultimate episode. Either way, you don't want to miss tonight.

It isn't that it's necessarily impossible to miss an episode of "Homeland" (although, there are some episodes you simply can't skip), it's just that why would you want to? What could it possibly benefit you to miss an episode of this series? Is it that you don't like great acting? Is it that great drama isn't your thing? Listen, we could go on and on and explain everything that "Homeland" has to offer, but how about leaving you with this one -- "Breaking Bad" is done and your 9pm hour TV load has been significantly lightened.

What sort of intricacies will season three of "Homeland" bring? What sort of excitement? What sort of betrayals? What sort of reversals? Let's face it, season two ended in fascinating fashion and season three is going to open in the aftermath of those events. Carrie and Saul have a whole lot of work ahead of them. And, where is Brody? That is something a whole lot of people want to know. We are getting 12 episodes of "Homeland" and we suggest you prepare yourself for the roller coaster that is to come.

Expect a big season finale from "Homeland" tonight. Don't expect the world to come to a cataclysmic end or anything like that, just expect it to be big, and twisty, and impressive... and great performances, definitely expect great performances. Okay, now that we've said what you should expect, maybe Showtime will drop the ball and give us a C-SPAN-like conclusion that takes place entirely within a Congressional subcommittee. Yeah, we don't see that happening. People love "Homeland" and its award-winning first season really set the stage for this second season. See what they do to close it out and setup season three tonight.

The first season of "Homeland" won several major awards and had tons more nominations. The show, at least in its first season, was about this CIA officer who kind of thought that a member of the U.S. military had been turned by Al-Qaeda and was planning on carrying out a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Then, things happened. Listen, we're not going to tell you how the season ended, we're just going to say that you really ought to catch up with the first season and then sit yourself down to watch the second season premiere today. You can thank us later.

A volatile CIA agent feels that she has a sleeper agent on her hands when a Marine being heralded as an American hero after surviving eight years of Afghan captivity returns home and she is left to figure out if her gut instinct holds true merit.

With the help of her mentor (played by Mandy Patinkin), Clarie Danes' character here is tasked with piecing together the story of what happened with a soldier in Afghanistan and his possible connection to an Al Qaeda plot. Naturally though, Danes' CIA officer is plagued by her own set of demons. What fun would a cop show be if the investigative officer were some sort of super-human without major demons of their own to battle? It is our sincere hope that her demons are in fact actual demons, it really would a new twist to the series as a whole, wouldn't it.
