Some people would refer to the town of Haven as a haven for all that is weird and vaguely unholy in our world. Others would refer to it as a haven for the misunderstood. Then, some would say it's that place Emily Rose's character has decided to move to in order to solve the mystery of who she is (at least that's what we think the mystery is... we've gotten sidetracked through the seasons). Mores would refer to it as the name of the town that offers the show starring the one and only Eric Balfour its name. We like to think of it that way. Because of Eric Balfour. The season ends tonight (and the new one begins eventually).

Amongst others this show stars the one and only Eric Balfour whom many know from "24." We actually have always remembered him as the uncredited frat boy from early in the first season of "The West Wing." Trust us, he's there and he hits on the President's daughter and it all goes very bad. Of course, Emily Rose, who plays our main character here wasn't on "The West Wing." Her you may know from "ER" or "Brothers & Sisters" or "John from Cincinnati" or "Jericho." Tune in and see what they do here.

Syfy's "Haven" is all about strange, weird, odd, disturbing, and in all other ways completely funky things happening in the small town of Haven, Maine. This nice lady came to town to investigate some of these goings-on and has opted to stay... mostly because there are always more goings-on to investigate. Plus, she has a family connection to the town of Haven which she's been trying to work out. Oh, and did we mention that this is all based on a Stephen King tale? What else could you possibly need to know before watching the finale? The story thus far? You will just have to work that out on your own.

This Syfy series is based Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid," but despite its name, it doesn't take place in Colorado. No, the town in question, Haven, is actually located in Maine (one of King's favorite locations). The people that live in Haven, as our federal agent exploring the place has noted, have some weird powers and she considers it her responsibility to figure out why and how to help everyone in the town. Plus, she's got her own mysterious connection to the town, one which even she doesn't fully grasp.

Of all the Syfy original series you could watch originals of on a Friday night, this is definitely one. Oh, we kid, we kid. Or, if you prefer, we josh, we're joshers. Who we are not, is Eric Balfour. Eric Balfour is one of the two handsome devils on this show, although it's yet to be proven that he actually plays the devil. He could, hypothetically, be the devil. There are weird doings in Haven and the devil could certainly be responsible for them, it's just that we have no proof that he's the devil yet. Maybe that'll be the big reveal in the season finale. Hey, it could happen.
