"Halloween Wars" airs on the Food Network and consequently the wars revolve around cakes and cookies and pumpkin carving. The notion is that the various teams of cookers ('cookers' is the right general term for top of the line decorators and bakers and chefs, right?) have to make the best/scariest/most awesome Halloween-themed foodstuffs. We get to watch this all take place and then wonder why our pumpkin didn't come out quite right and has already gone moldy three days before Halloween even arrives. Poor us.

We have told you about this show in the past, and we're back to do it again this year. Tonight is the finale episode of the season for "Halloween Wars" and that means that it's your last chance to see all the crazy stuff that the chefs have made to celebrate the holiday. Obviously at this moment we don't know what sort of creation is going to be crowned the winner, but with a theme like "haunted carnival," we're dying to find out.

This year, for the third year in a row, the Food Network has offered up some Halloween-themed programming with Sunday night airings of "Halloween Wars." Over the course of this season's four episodes, we have seen one team of Halloween experts eliminated on a weekly basis. These teams are composed of a pumpkin carving expert, a cake artist, and candy craftsman, and no matter how ridiculously wonderful the remaining teams perform tonight, only one will go home as the winner. Tonight is the season finale.
