Ghost Adventures

The ghost-hunting team on 'Ghost Adventures'

Ghost Adventures

Apr 27, 2012 09:00 PM

TV Network - Travel Channel

There are places in this world which are haunted.  There are other places in the world which may be haunted.  Then there are places in the world which are, under no circumstances, haunted.  Put another way, there is wheat, there is chaff, and there is that which may be either wheat or chaff.  It is the job of the team on "Ghost Adventures" to examine the wheat and to examine the either wheat or chaff.  Their job is to figure it all out, to learn that which they may learn, and to hunt for that ever elusive proof that ghosts, without a doubt, exist.  Those are some pretty meddlesome kids, right?

There are few things we know for certain in this world.  One of these is that you can't possibly drink enough coffee -- it's simply not possible.  If the world hasn't run out of coffee, you haven't had enough.  Another is that Girl Scout cookies, Samoas to be specific, have gotten smaller.  Take a look at a Samoa today and tell us that it isn't somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 the size it used to be.  Sad.  Third, we know that if a ghost series promises a special episode, you should watch.  We have been informed that tonight's "Ghost Adventures" on the Travel Channel is a special all about 'obsessions & possessions.'  Maybe they'll visit the Girl Scout cookie factory and figure out if a ghost stole the rest of each Samoa... we're kind of obsessed.

Now, what is it that most travel seems to lack?  No guesses?  Okay, we'll tell you -- ghosts.  Most relaxing travel lacks ghosts.  This series rectifies that embarrassing problem, as you might have expected with it being called "Ghost Adventures" and all.  On the series, three gentleman (Bagans, Groff, and Goodwin) go around the country to explore all the various ghosts that may or may not be present at different locales.  We assume that they do this so that you know exactly where to go on your relaxing vacation provided that you want your relaxing vacation to feature ghosts.  And, who doesn't want that?
