Tonight on "Finding Bigfoot," we're not just getting the season premiere, but also an "untold stories" special.  What does that mean?  Well, sadly, we imagine that no matter what they say, they're not actually going to find and hold onto Bigfoot, parading him around the world "Young Frankenstein" style (and told tell us that "Young Frankenstein" was spoofing Helen Keller).  Even so, we're going to be watching anyway, because we believe that the Bigfoot hunters can do it and we want to be there when they do.

This week's episode of "Finding Bigfoot" is a special one entitled "Biggest Search Yet."  And, to show that they're not kidding about that statement, this biggest search yet is going to be a two hour adventure.  Honestly, we don't have great hope that our "Finding Bigfoot" team will actually find Bigfoot, but as you're certainly aware, it's not the destination but the journey that is important.  As tonight's journey is extra long, clearly it is extra important.

Holidays mean nothing when you're on the search for Bigfoot.  How would you feel if you were searching for Bigfoot for decades of your life only to take a break for the holidays and have someone else find Bigfoot while you were home eating turducken.  Okay, yes, undoubtedly you'd be pleased with your turducken eating, but you'd be miserable about the finding of Bigfoot whilst you weren't around.  Consequently, there's a new episode (or two, and one of them is a double) of "Finding Bigfoot" today, just a few days after Christmas.

Here are the facts (as we understand them).  People believe that Bigfoot exists.  All over the world people are relatively certain of this.  On "Finding Bigfoot" a team of experts goes out and finds (or not) evidence of Bigfoot.  The real question we want to answer is whether it is more appropriate to refer to the creatures as Bigfeet -- after all, if Bigfoot has been spotted all over the world surely there is more than one?  It's not like the creature has a private jet, is it?  Tonight, on this two hour edition, Bigfoot may actually be in Australia.  Will they catch him and bring him back to the States?

Over the course of two hours tonight, we're going to get the pre-season three premiere special promising 'Untold Stories' from "Finding Bigfoot" and we're going to get the season three premiere, 'Idaho - Ripped from the Headlines.'  We have a suspicion, however, that what we're not going to get is an actual real and true, caught on camera by the group filming this series, look at Bigfoot himself.  Don't get us wrong, we're totally going to tune in and see if they did manage to get a full look at the sasquatch, but we are in no way going to hold our breath.  We suggest you don't either.

The search for Bigfoot has been going on ever since... well, ever since we can remember and we don't expect that just because the second season of "Finding Bigfoot" is drawing to a close the search will stop.  Now, we say that despite the fact that we're well aware that Bigfoot won't be found on tonight's finale.  Well, hypothetically, they could find him, but we imagine that if they do it's something of a catch-and-release program wherein they have to return Bigfoot to the wild after giving him an RFID tag.  Would Bigfoot allow himself to be tagged?  We kind of doubt it, although it could make for quite the season finale, couldn't it?
