Based on a true story--as these things often are--this Hallmark Movie Channel original finds Steven Weber starring as homeless vet whose only companion is his awesome dog, Duke. We actually thought that the film was going to focus on the G.I. Joe character or perhaps John Wayne, but this probably does have a moderately more touching message than focusing the film on the Hasbro toy would (we won't say one way or the other on John Wayne). Sarah Smyth, Allison Hossack, Kendall Cross, and Martin Cummins also star.
