The NBA Finals are currently taking place and that necessitates some scheduling shifts on ABC. For instance, tonight, ABC is going to air a 90 minute Wednesday edition of "Duets," as opposed to the usual Thursday night two hour edition. We aren't sure quite how the episode itself may be special, except for the potential it has to crush the dreams of some aspiring singer. We don't root for that to happen, but we certainly do hope that all you "Duets" fans remember that the show is on tonight as opposed to tomorrow.

Tonight is the night, the night that everyone who has religiously watched "Duets" has been waiting for, it is the night when the winner is announced. Now, we say 'winner' because the episode description says 'winner,' but they're talking about the nobody who is now a somebody, isn't the celebrity mentor of said person also a winner tonight? In fact, aren't we all winners for sticking with the show for the whole season to find out who the winner would wind up being? Isn't Quddus a winner for the way in which he has hosted the show? Boy, we are not comfortable with the notion of a single winner tonight -- it was totally a group effort.
