We aren't going to say that objects can be enchanted but that doesn't mean that it isn't creepy to own something like Jack the Ripper's knife. And yet, that's exactly the sort of thing Steve Santini likes. We have gotten to watch him go in search of such relics this year. The season ends with back-to-back-to-back episodes tonight including one entitled 'Pear of Anguish.' We imagine that Santini has been able to get his hands on the long lost pear seed which caused Louis XI's horse to choke and throw the French King into the hands of his paramour for whom he ended up abdicating. Okay, we totally made up that story, but the pear is real (it just deals with a different thing).
