Curb Your Enthusiasm

TV Network - HBOThe great thing about "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is that anything can happen. Larry, Jerry, and everyone else may be working on a "Seinfeld" reunion right now and everything may be looking good for it, but that doesn't mean it will happen. We still are kind of rooting for Larry to get back with Cheryl, but that too is up in the air. Will the curmudgeon be able to both do his reunion and get his ex-wife back? These questions - and many we don't even know to ask about - will be answered (hopefully) tonight.

This week's episode, if titles mean anything, features Michael J. Fox. You see, this episode has Michael J. Fox's name in the title. That fact, combined with the press releases which indicates Mr. Fox as a guest star this season, make the odds of his appearance tonight seem pretty good. We have to say, we really like Michael J. Fox, and we really like Larry David, so we're a little worried that the two men are going to square off. We don't want to see any losers in a battle between these two comedic titans. If they fight to a draw we can deal with it, but if there are tears we're going to be truly and deeply unhappy.

There is a certain method to Larry David's madness. In virtually every episode David states some sort of honestly brilliant idea, which he then covers in an inordinate amount of insanity. Or, in the parlance of "The Princess Bride," 'Chocolate coating makes it go down easier.' It isn't Larry David's thing to utter brilliance and then let it sit there for people to absorb slowly, no, he needs to shove it down everyone's throat, stuffing it in as hard as he possibly can. Wow, okay, it's the exact opposite of the chocolate coating thing, but the fact remains that Larry does say smart things we should listen to -- tune in and hear tonight's wisdom.

We are sorry about this, we know that we should be calm, we know that we should remain on an even keel, we know that we shouldn't shout or yell or get overexcited. We know that we shouldn't do any of these things. We know that Larry David wouldn't want that from us. We know that he would tell us to relax, but we simply can't. Larry David is back and we love it. We are hugely, incredibly, ridiculously excited for his return. Long may "Curb Your Enthusiasm" continue.
