The way TV series are franchised out these days never ceases to amaze us.  There are currently three different "CSI" shows on CBS, two "NCIS" programs, and now a second "Criminal Minds" is starting.  That's a whole lot of television.  We're not suggesting it's wrong, we're just amazed by it.  Forest Whitaker leads the cast of this "Criminal Minds" spinoff which focuses on an elite BAU squad with 'unconventional' methods of going about getting the bad guy (or gal).
