In New Jersey there is a comic book store owned by the legendary Kevin Smith. He doesn't actually show there on a regular basis, but he owns it and he has a collection of 'weird' people who run the police. They then have this podcast where they tell us all about the stuff that goes down at the store... plus there are cameras there when whatever stuff goes down actually goes down. That is what this show is, getting to see the people talk about what happened interspersed with seeing it actually taking place. Watch, see for yourself, this is the season finale after all.

Okay, we call this a 'Kevin Smith series' despite the fact that Mr. Smith isn't really around for much of it -- he generally just talks to the guys at Silent Bob's Secret Stash about what's been going on there and then we get to see what's taken place. We think that the scenes with discussions of prices for comic books and accompanying paraphernalia are really the show's best moments, but you'll also get to see great things like reenactments of comic book sequences and a whole lot of nerdy and semi-nerdy putdowns take place.

Somewhere in New Jersey (we don't know exactly where because we're scared of the state and consequently don't care to look too deeply into it) there is a comic book store called Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. The place is owned by Kevin Smith who leaves it in the semi-capable hands of friends plus this one other guy who just kind of hangs out there for no particular reason. You get to see their antics and watch as Smith talks to them about all the nonsense which takes place at 'The Stash.' We just hope they're nicer to Ming this season -- he's the butt of too many jokes.

Over the course of the first season of "Comic Book Men" we have not only learned a little bit about the comics, but also about the people who inhabit Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, the comic book shop owned by Kevin Smith. We are, it must be said, not entirely sure whether we're more scared of the comic book villains or the some of the inhabitants of the shop (assuming that the comic book villains are real... obviously). Both groups have, it seems, plans to control the universe (whether it's the real universe or simply the universe of the shop) and both have made a fair number of enemies. Will the good side win in reality just as it does in the comics (usually)? Tonight may reveal that answer.
