The purpose of "Comedy Bang! Bang!" has been to reinvent the traditional late night celebrity interview.  It is actually a fascinating concept.  Think about it, 100 years ago there was no 'traditional late night celebrity interview.' In fact, 60 years ago there probably wasn't a traditional version.  But, now there is, and the question is if "Comedy Bang! Bang!" has been able to refigure it all while still being informative and interesting.  The only way to find out is for you to tune in and watch.  So, go ahead, do just that.

This is going to be a 20 episode season here for "Comedy Bang! Bang!," and tonight is episode 10, but the last one we'll be getting for the time being.  It is going to feature Josh Groban and, what's more, he's going to be wearing a suit and striped socks.  We know this because every episode title offers the name of the guest and what' they're going to be wearing.  We appreciate that sort of truth in advertising and hope that Groban lives up to his suit.

"Comedy Bang! Bang!" isn't the only series to have taken a month off just as the broadcast networks premiered their new season, but is the only one called "Comedy Bang! Bang!" to take that month off.  But, never fear fans of the comedy (bang, bang), "Comedy Bang! Bang!" is returning tonight with new episodes of funny.  Not only that, but the series intends to run new episodes every Friday night from tonight until the Friday before Christmas.  Talk about a holiday treat.

After a 10 episode first season, IFC has given "Comedy Bang! Bang!" a 20 episode order for this, it's second season, which starts up tonight.  Here is the deal, Soctt Aukerman and Reggie Watts host this kind of a late night talk show with lots of off-kilter humor.  IFC's current plan is to give us an episode a week of the second season until they get through the first half of things and then to take a few weeks off before returning for the second 10 episodes.  Rather than concern yourself with the specifics though, we just recommend you watch and see who the guest is and what funny unfurls.
