On Tuesday October 14, 2003 we were happily sitting down putting together wedding programs for our upcoming nuptials. The TV was on in the background and we were hoping to see the Cubs advance. Then, one Cubs fan, Steve Bartman, reached out to attempt to catch a foul ball (as we all would do if we had the opportunity). He caused the fielder to miss the play, the Marlins went on to score eight runs that inning, they then won again in game seven and took out our dear Yankees in the World Series (we blame David Wells for that). Steve Bartman's life has never really been the same. This is the story of Bartman and the psychology of sports fans (P.S., we're still happily married).
