Brooklyn is, we have to tell you, resurgent. Oh, it's still an outer borough, but if you have to live in an outer borough, Brooklyn seems to be the most popular choice these days. Maybe that's why, with its super-cool status, Andy Samberg's police comedy is set there. Think of it like an updated "Barney Miller" (only in that they're both police shows) and, be pleased that it has the post-"New Girl"-post-Super Bowl slot tonight. Set those DVRs to run late, because we're betting it won't start at 10:30 as scheduled.

Last season, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" proved itself to be both smart and funny, and by the end of the year was really firing on all cylinders. In fact, the whole show worked so well that FOX has opted to break-up their long-running "Animation Domination" Sunday evenings. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is slotting into the post-"Simpsons" time period as of tonight and, with any luck, will pick right back up where the first season left off.
