So, as you may recall, Bristol Palin got pregnant out of wedlock and appeared with the father of her unborn child at the Republican National Convention back in 2008. Well, Bristol remains unmarried and now has a toddler, a toddler whom she has taken (along with Bristol's sister, Willow) to Los Angeles so that... well, we don't know. All we know is that on this show we get to see Bristol pick up her kid, move him to L.A., and then move him back to Alaska over the course of season one. Nobody ever said being a young mother was easy.
