  The first season of "Awkward" was 12 episodes long.  The second season of "Awkward" was, similarly, 12 episodes long.  For the third season of the series though MTV is going to be breaking that established mold and giving us a full 20 episodes (a number nearly equal to the total number of episodes in seasons one and two combined).  The series follows Jenna Hamilton who is now a junior in high school and over the course of these 20 new episodes we're sure to see a lot change for her.  But, with any luck, she will remain as awkward as ever (it is the series' title after all).

  Less than halfway through it's first season, "Awkward" earned its renewal stripes and a go-ahead for season two.  While we are not yet quite sure when said second season of this look at the perils of teenage life will begin, we do know for a fact when season one will end -- tonight.  "Awkward" is finishing its first season run with back-to-back episodes; we'll be getting two looks into the life of Jenna tonight and hopefully one of them (the second) will have some wowzer cliffhanger of an ending that will keep us all holding our breath until season two begins.
