We would sincerely like to tell you that MTV is thinking outside the box with this new series. It would be a pleasure to explain how this show is completely and totally different from everything which has come before it. Instead though, let us just tell you that the coming of age story told in the first person to, or read back from, someone's diary/blog can still be done in colorful, creative, and wonderful fashion. A series need not always reinvent the wheel to be a joy, it just has to roll down the right street.
