This is one of those shows which features folks searching through that which looks like junk in order to find stuff that isn't actually junk and make a massive profit. In this case, the 'folks' in questions are Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe, and the junk in question is... yeah, a lot of it is just junk. Of course, the series doesn't focus on the big misses, just the hits (even if they're singles and doubles, not home runs). See if tonight, on the fifth season premiere, those American pickers find a pot of gold in the midst of a heap of garbage.

Tonight, perhaps amazingly, the seventh season of "American Pickers" begins but, what if it isn't amazing. Yes, what if, rather than being amazing, the seventh season of "American Pickers" beginning was less a product of amazing than it was a product of television which people like rising to the top? You know what this series is--just a couple of months ago we reminded you to watch the season six finale--isn't there a possibility you ought to give it a shot tonight and see why so many enjoy it?

We are of two minds here -- on the one hand, we are sad that "American Pickers" is ending season six tonight. On the other, we feel bad for being sad because this is the 33rd episode of the sixth season and that's pretty good both in terms of number of seasons overall and number of episodes this season. Tune in tonight then and watch Frank Fritz and MIke Wolf go searching for buried amongst loads of junk treasure one last time.
